Tyler Frodl, director of photography and Callie Mills writer/director discuss camera positions for ‘Infinity Unlimited’ a new Internet series created by multiple UW Oshkosh students.

Titan TV is premiering a new show "Infinity Unlimited" this semester as its first ever web series. The writer and director of the series, Callie Mills, describes the show as relatable to a college audience.

"It's a comedy about two people who lose their jobs and decide to make a production company, even though they have no idea how," Mills said.

"Infinity Unlimited" features two best friends, Daniel and Mallory, who have just graduated college and are trying to find a way to support themselves, according to Mills.

Mills said choosing the actors to play Daniel and Mallory was a pretty simple process.

"I basically hand-picked who I wanted to be on the show," Mills said. "It helped that I knew people who fit perfectly into the roles."

Mallory, played by Carissa Tuffey, is a rational mellow character whose best friend, Daniel, keeps interfering with her plans, Tuffey said.

"She's kind of down-to-earth, and he's really out there, while she has a more rational side," Tuffey said. "They make a good duo because he brings out her crazy side that she tries to suppress."

Although Tuffey is not a theater major, she said she has been acting since middle school.

"I want to be a history professor, not the boring kind, but cool like Indiana Jones," Tuffey said. "I love theater and acting, and I think it would help for being a professor."

Although she has acted before, Tuffey said this is her first non-theater acting experience.

"Talking for a camera is so different because there is no immediate response from the audience," Tuffey said.

The most difficult part of making "Infinity Unlimited" was getting through the more humorous scenes, Tuffey said.

"It was definitely hard to keep a straight face," Tuffey said. "One scene took me forever to do because we were literally just jumping around in front of a green screen. I'm most excited to see how that scene turned out."

"Infinity Unlimited" is Mills' first time writing and directing a project, but she has had other Titan TV experience.

"I've produced the news before, but I'd much rather make up stories than report stories," Mills said.

Her passion for comedy television includes watching it as well as writing it, according to Mills.

"I really like the writing styles of ‘Arrested Development' and ‘The Office' and I love Tina Fey," Mills said.

"Infinity Unlimited" was shot over two weekends in January. It consists of three episodes that run about six minutes each. According to Mills the first episode is online now, and the next two will be posted Friday and  Feb. 24.

"The reason I decided to do a web series was because I knew I wouldn't have the time this semester to make a full length show," Mills said.

Mills said she got the idea for the show from a former UW Oshkosh student, Adam LeClair, who helped create a previous show called "Teamwork."

"Adam actually wrote the first episode, and I wrote the final two," Mills said. "The last one wasn't even completely written until the day before we shot it."

Check out "Infinity Unlimited" now on Titan TV's newly designed webpage, www.uwosh.edu/titantv, and come back for more every Friday in February.
