The Titans women's basketball team couldn't overcome sloppy ball-handling as they fell to the UW-Platteville Pioneers 54-46 on Bo Ryan Court in Platteville Wednesday night.

Oshkosh turned the ball over 29 times while shooting only 36 percent from the floor, which contributed to the loss.

A bright spot for the Titans was the performance of junior forward Shelby Churchill, who only scored seven points, but pulled down 19 rebounds.

Churchill's cleaning of the glass helped Oshkosh outrebound the Pioneers 41-24.

Freshman guard Katie Kitzke led the Titans in scoring with 10 points, while fellow freshman guard Megan Wenig and junior forward Dannielle Bauer each tallied eight points in a losing effort.

The loss drops Oshkosh to 2-10 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 7-14 overall.
