Men’s track team gears up for largest meet of season

The UW Oshkosh men's track and field team will compete in its largest meet of the season, as it will be one of seven teams that travel to Whitewater for the Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational on Friday. The Titans are joined in the meet by fellow Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams UW-Whitewater and UW-La Crosse. Full story

Women’s track tops Ripon, Lawrence at Oshkosh Open

The UW Oshkosh women's track team swept the competition at the UW Oshkosh Open held in Kolf Sports Center Jan. 27, taking first place in 13 events, leading the team to a first place finish overall with a team score of 89.5 points. The Titan's competed against Ripon College, which took second place with 36 points, and Lawrence University, which finished in third place with 24. Full story

Oshkosh track wins at home

Building on its early indoor season success, the men's track and field team dominated several events en route to victory at the UW Oshkosh Open in Kolf Sports Center on Friday. Oshkosh racked up 90 points while winning a majority of the events. The three-team meet also included Ripon College and Lawrence University, which posted 35 and 18 points respectively. Full story

UWO women’s gymnastics team stumbles in loss at Winona State

Despite two first place finishes, the UW Oshkosh women's gymnastics team fell to Winona State University (Minn.) Tuesday night by a score of 181.775-177.425. Head coach Lauren Karnitz, a former competitor at Oshkosh, is now in her fifth season as coach, and despite the overall outcome she was pleased with her team's performance. Full story

Oshkosh loses fifth straight, 9 of last 10

On the second of five straight road games, the UW Oshkosh women's basketball team was overpowered in the Zorn Arena by the 20th-ranked UW-Eau Claire 68-49 on Wednesday. The Blugolds took an early 5-0 lead and two minutes passed before Oshkosh scored their first points of the game, a two-pointer by freshman forward Shelby Serafin. Full story

Oshkosh men’s basketball drops halftime lead, game

After jumping out to a 19-point lead late in the first half, the Oshkosh men's basketball team watched yet another lead slip away and dropped to UW-Eau Claire 81-74 Wednesday night at Kolf Sports Center. The loss keeps the Titans (4-16, 0-11) winless in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play even though they have held multiple halftime leads this season. Full story
