Fadness’ HR lifts team to opening win, but Titans drop second game in extras
The UW-Oshkosh men's baseball team took the first game of the doubleheader against UW-Stout, held last Sunday at Tiedemann Field winning 12-11 thanks to the powerful bat of Mickey Fadness (catcher) who had the game-winning home run. Fadness went 3-4 with two RBIs and game high three runs scored in the first game.

UW-Oshkosh's football team gathered in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center gym as Steve Brown, strength and conditioning coordinator, called roll. "Come on, guys," he said. "Hustle up." The team is still half asleep as he reads the names.

Titans senior helps team playing second base when not striking batters out on the mound
Kyle Kannenberg, a senior at UW-Oshkosh, is a unique kind of student athlete. With roles as both a second baseman and a starting pitcher, Kannenberg is a well-rounded athlete who has had a significant baseball career as a Titan. Kannenberg attended high school at Oshkosh West, where he played a variety of positions on the team.

The UW-Oshkosh men's track and field team won the Oshkosh Invitational meet Saturday, held at UW-Oshkosh, with a total of 205 points. With a big margin between first and second place, Central College took second with 98.50 points. The weather was partly cloudy with the temperatures in the low to mid 60s, but the real story was how windy it was.

The UW-Oshkosh women's softball team defeated UW-Stout Sunday in a doubleheader. The Titans won the first game 6-5 and the second game 4-3. Sunday was also senior day for the team. The team has two outstanding seniors, Whitney Tornow and Amie Heinzelman.

Juniors Camille Davis and Holly Ozanich won Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference awards for the week of April 26-May 2 after their performances in the UW-Oshkosh Invitational. Davis was named the conference's Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 100-meter dash in 11.

Oshkosh beats second place Central College by 117.5
The women Titan throwers dominated like never before at Titan Stadium this past Saturday. Receiving first through eighth place in the hammer throw, first through fourth place in the shot put and first place in the discus throw, the throwers greatly contributed to the Titans' win of 216 points.
