Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle has signed a bill into law that puts a ban on text messaging while driving in Wisconsin.
The new law "prohibits any person from composing or sending a text or electronic mail message while driving a motor vehicle," according to a press release from Sen. Alan Lasee, R-Wis.
Drivers who violate the new law are subjected to a fine of at least $20 but not more than $400.
