(11:03 p.m.) – A community adviser requested officers check a room in Fletcher Hall because she suspected underage drinking. Officers arrived, received consent to search the room and found two bottles of liquor belonging to an 18-year-old student. The student, Bianca Fiene, told officers she had taken the alcohol from her parents’ house without their permission, according to the report. She refused to take a Breathalyzer test, and officers cited her for underage possession of alcohol.

(11:24 p.m.) – A building manager in Reeve Memorial Union requested assistance dealing with a disturbance near Titan Underground. Officers discovered the disturbance was a verbal disagreement between two groups involved in a dance competition at the Titan Underground. Those involved were warned for their conduct and asked to leave the area for the rest of the night. No citations were given.

March 13, 2010

(2:32 a.m.) – Officers observed a man activating a blue light emergency phone on Osceola Avenue, between High Avenue and Algoma Boulevard. Officers stopped the man, a 22-year-old non-student, and asked him why he pushed the phone button. He looked at the ground and said, “I don’t know, man,” according to police reports. He also told officers there was no emergency, the report said. Officers cited Zachary Runge for misuse of an emergency phone.

(2:44 a.m.) – Officers stopped the driver of a vehicle going the wrong way on High Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver, who admitted to drinking and told officers he was moving the car for his friend, the police report said. The driver, 19-year-old student Joseph LaForge, had a blood alcohol level of .04, and officers cited him for underage drinking (1st offense), and failure to obey a sign or signal. The passenger, 19-year-old student Matthew Eisenzimmer, also admitted to drinking and had a blood alcohol level of .06, according to the police report. Officers cited him for underage drinking (2nd offense).

(10:52 p.m.) – Officers stopped the driver of a vehicle driving recklessly on West Irving and Elmwood avenues. The driver, a 21-year-old Fox Valley Technical College student, told officers he was speeding because his son was going to the hospital to get stitches and he was scared, according to police reports. The man was driving between 45 and 60 mph, the report said. Officers discovered the man was the subject of a restraining order by the mother of his child, so officers reminded him he could not have contact with her, according to the report. Alexander Belville was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed.

March 14, 2010

(12:21 a.m.) – Officers observed a man walking on West Irving Avenue, near Cherry Street, with an open can of beer. As they approached the man, a 22-year-old non-student, he walked to a car and thew the can on the ground, the report said. Officers spoke to the man, who told them he was “acting stupid,” and he knew he wasn’t supposed to have a can of beer outside, according to the police report. Officers cited Patrick McConaughey for possession of alcohol on UW lands and warned him for littering.

(12:34 a.m.) – Community service officers witnessed a man stumble, fall face-first onto the sidewalk and strike a tree with his face. The man was able to get up, but stumbled into on-coming traffic, causing CSOs to stop traffic so he didn’t get hit by a car. Officers arrived and spoke to the man, an 18-year-old UW-Eau Claire student. He had several large cuts to his lips, nose and cheeks, the report said. Police requested an ambulance, but once it arrived, the man refused to be treated, according to police reports. The student was extremely intoxicated but not incapacitated. Officers cited Justin Hasler for underage drinking (2nd offense). He had a blood alcohol level of .157 percent. Hasler was asked several times to go to the hospital, but he adamantly explained he was fine, so he was released to a responsible sober person, the report said.

(1:13 a.m.) – Officers were investigating another call on the seventh floor of North Scott Hall when they observed two women walking out of the men’s bathroom. When officers spoke to them, the women became argumentative, refused to obey officers’ commands and claimed officers were harassing them because they are black, the report said. Officers cited 23-year-old Britney Wilson and 21-year-old Keshia Jackson, both Oshkosh students, for disorderly conduct.

(1:40 a.m.) – A community adviser in Fletcher Hall called police to report a woman was passed out in a bathroom, lying in her own vomit. Officers arrived and noticed a strong odor of alcohol, the report said. The woman, a 19-year-old student, was incapacitated and told officers she had been drinking alcohol but didn’t know what kind or how much, according to the report. Alyxandra Debenack was taken to the hospital on a 12-hour incapacitation hold, and officers cited her for underage drinking (1st offense).
