Feb. 27, 2010
(11:47p.m.) – Officers responded to North Scott Hall for a report of a man passed out in a snow bank near the main entrance. While speaking to the man, officers noticed he had slurred speech, an odor of alcohol on his breath, and he was having trouble with his balance. The man, 18-year-old student Bryan Scott, told officers he drank “too much” Captain Morgan, according to the police reports. Scott had a blood alcohol content of .211 percent, and officers cited him for underage drinking (1st offense).

Feb. 28, 2010
(12:56 a.m.) – A community service officer working at Nelson Hall notified officers he had seen a woman leave Nelson through a fire exit door. Officers spoke to the woman, who had walked to Clemans Hall. The woman, 18-year-old student Nicole Paxon, told officers she had been drinking beer off campus, according to the police report. She had a blood alcohol level of .036 percent, and officers cited her for underage drinking (1st offense).

March 3, 2010
(5:46 p.m.) – Officers responded to the fifth floor of North Gruenhagen Hall for a report of marijuana use. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 19-year-old Fox Valley Technical College student. The man admitted to smoking marijuana and having paraphernalia in the room, the report said. He told officers where the paraphernalia was, and officers confiscated three pipes and a blow tube. Officers cited Nicholas Schremp for possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 5, 2010
(12:21 a.m.) – Officers stopped the driver of a car on Wisconsin Street for traffic violations. While on the traffic stop, officers noticed the man had bloodshot eyes and asked to search his car for drugs, according to the police report. The man, a 25-year-old non-student, gave officers consent. Officers found a marijuana grinder and pipe in his car, and he then admitted he had marijuana in his jacket pocket, the report said. James Eckes was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 6, 2010
City of Oshkosh police officers reported a man had been taken to the hospital for injuries suffered in an attack just after midnight on E. Parkway Avenue near Jefferson Street. The victim told officers he was walking down the street when a group of 4-5 men approached him. One man asked, “What’s up?” to which he replied, “Hello,” the report said. One of the men hit the victim in the side of the head, and another kicked him in the leg, causing him to fall down. The victim reported being repeatedly kicked and punched in the face and body, according to the police report.
The men left, but one came back and punched the victim in the face again, knocking him back down to the ground. The other men joined in kicking and hitting him again, the victim told police.
The suspects are described as all black men in their early 20s and wearing red clothing. The man who punched the victim in the face for the second time is described as 6-foot-3, 400 pounds, and wearing a gold T-shirt. Anyone having information on this incident, or can identify these men should contact the Oshkosh Police Department.

(1:07 a.m.) – Officers stopped a man who exited Kelly’s Bar with a glass container filled with clear liquid. Officers noticed the man stagger for several blocks as he was drinking from the glass, then sit on a stone wall near the corner of Irving and Elmwood avenues. As officers approached the man, he ran, and when officers caught up to him, he threw the glass. The man, a 19-year-old student, admitted to drinking at Kelly’s, stealing the glass and littering, the report said. Jordan Pennings had a blood alcohol level of .196 percent, and officers cited him for underage drinking (2nd offense within a year).

(11:34 p.m.) – Officers stopped the driver of a vehicle with suspended registration. While speaking to the driver, officers noticed he had an odor of alcohol on his breath, the report said. The driver, 20-year-old student Stephen Miller, told officers he drank a can of beer at his house, according to the report. He had a blood alcohol level of .067, and officers cited him for absolute sobriety violation and operating with a suspended license (2nd offense).
While speaking to the passengers of the vehicle, officers noticed they had an odor of alcohol on their breath. The three passengers admitted to drinking beer, the report said. Houston Szukalski, a 20-year-old non-student, had a blood alcohol level of .067, and officers cited him for underage drinking (2nd offense). The other passengers, Joseph Gaffney and William Pevytoe, both 19-year-old students, had blood alcohol levels of .067 and .046, respectively. Officers cited both for underage drinking (1st offense).

(11:49 p.m.) – Officers responded to a report of a man letting a woman in the back door of Breese Hall, bypassing the security station. The woman, unnamed in the report, told officers she did not have her ID, so she could not legally enter the hall, the report said. Officers warned her for bypassing a security station. Justin Feist, a 19-year-old student, was cited for underage drinking (1st offense).

March 9, 2010
(10:27 p.m.) – Officers responded to a complaint of underage drinking in Donner Hall. Matthew Obry, 20; Joseph Steinbrecher, 19; Tyson Roh, 20; and Ericka Baures, 19; all students, were cited for underage drinking (1st offense).
