(1:41 a.m.) – Community Advisers reported a disturbance that took place on the ninth floor of North Scott Hall. Officers arrived, and after speaking to those involved in the disturbance they determined pushing and shoving between friends had occurred and nobody wanted to press charges. The men involved, 18-year-old students Jordan Sexton and Griffin Sengbusch, told officers they, along with Sengbusch’s girlfriend, had a disagreement over relationship issues, according to police reports. Sengbusch told police that they had been at a house party where Sexton learned Sengbusch’s girlfriend may have cheated on him, the report said. The news, along with drinking, started the argument that spurred the pushing and shoving, the report said. Sexton had a blood alcohol level of .188 percent, and Sengbusch had a blood alcohol level of .095 percent. Both were cited for underage drinking (1st offense).

Jan. 10, 2010

(12:48 a.m.) – Officers stopped a car leaving Lot 18 that had a frosted-over windshield and side windows. The driver, 18-year-old student Mitchell Sessler, told officers the windows should have been cleaned, the report said. Police noticed an odor of alcohol on his breath, but he initially denied drinking and passed field sobriety tests, according to police reports. After submitting to a breathalyzer test and having a blood alcohol level of .012 percent, he admitted to drinking one beer, the report said. The owner of the car, 18-year-old student Robert Bikowski, was a passenger in the car, and told officers he had been drinking beer at a house party, where he paid $5 for a cup, the report said. He had an odor of alcohol on his breath and a blood alcohol level of .111 percent. He gave officers consent to search the car where they found more beer and liquor, according to the report. Bikowski and Sessler, along with fellow passengers 19-year-old non-students Larry Darr and Thomas Bickel, were all cited for underage drinking. The car was towed after the occupants could not find a sober and responsible person to take control of the car.

(2:45 a.m.) – Officers stopped a car travelling on the wrong side of Woodland Avenue. The car had a frosted-over windshield and side windows. The driver, 19-year-old student Nathan Proud, told officers he should have cleaned the windshield and that he thought Woodland was a one-way street, according to police reports. He admitted to drinking beer, and passed field sobriety tests, the report said. He had a blood alcohol level of .060 percent. The owner of the car, 19-year-old non-student Brett Everson, gave officers permission to search the vehicle, where the officers found more beer, the report said. Everson admitted to drinking and had a blood alcohol level of .20 percent, police reports said. A third passenger, 19-year-old non-student Casper Medved, also admitted to drinking beer at a house party and had a blood alcohol level of .11 percent, according to the report. All three were cited for underage drinking.

Jan. 13, 2010

(2:23 p.m.) – University Police Officers received a fire alarm from Albee Hall. A University Police officer and the Oshkosh Fire Department responded and discovered the alarm had been pulled by a 4-year-old visiting campus for a Kinesiology Club function, the report said. The alarm was reset without any further problems.

(11:25 p.m.) – Officers were dispatched to check the welfare of an intoxicated man in the lobby of North Scott Hall. Upon arrival, officers talked to the man and determined he was intoxicated but not incapacitated. The man, 19-year-old student Nicholas Werner, initially denied drinking, but had a blood alcohol level of .207 percent, according to the report. Werner was escorted to his room and left in the care of his sober roommate after officers cited him for underage drinking (1st offense).

Jan. 14, 2010

(1:57 a.m.) – Officers stopped a vehicle travelling along Algoma Boulevard for traffic violations. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests, according to the report. Carlie Walker, a 20-year-old non-student, had a blood alcohol level of .137 percent, according to the report. Officers arrested her and took her to Winnebago County Jail for intoxication. Officers also cited her for operating while intoxicated (1st offense) and operating with a prohibited alcohol content (1st offense). Two passengers, 19-year-old Azra Ibrahimovic and 20-year-old Pierce Laedtke, both non-students, were also cited for underage drinking (1st offense).
