Letter to the editor: Democratic Party of Wisconsin is grasping at straws

With their primary line of attack debunked by the media, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin is grasping at straws with the laughable claim that Terrence Wall isn’t a successful businessman. Campaign manager Ryan Murray says Russ Feingold is only concerned about one job: his.

“I’ll put Terrence Wall’s job creation record up against Russ Feingold’s any day of the week,” Murray said. “While Russ Feingold has been drawing a taxpayer funded paycheck for nearly 30 years, Wall has been building a business from the ground up, creating thousands of jobs in the process.

With the national unemployment rate now 9.7 percent and with nearly 15 million Americans looking for work, the Democratic Congress has wasted time and trillions of dollars passing a “stimulus” bill that hasn’t worked and trying to pass a government health care takeover Americans don’t want.

And it’s not just Republicans who say so. Today, retiring Democrat U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh told CBS News, “But if I could create one job in the private sector by helping to grow a business, that would be one more than Congress has created in the last six months.”

“Russ Feingold knows that Congress has been MIA on job creation,” Murray said. “I’m not surprised that the Democratic Party of Wisconsin doesn’t understand how to run a successful business and likes to attack those who do. I’m just disappointed.”

Ah but see, the thing is, American's do want healthcare reform. In fact, if asked about the individual, significant measures the bill takes, Americans are in favor of them. Only when conservatives began misrepresenting what this bill is did people start doing a 180 on it.

This letter is typical of those on the Right. Misrepresenting the facts (or lying if you want to call it what it is) in order to suit their agenda, which at this point seems to be opposing Obama and the Democrats at every turn, while offering up the same old solutions to problems that we've seen haven't worked.
